I'm moving out. We will not be neighbors after this week, but you can still reach me anytime.
[ There's an address along with coordinates included for a house in Coldreach. Probably a picture, too, just to make sure it's as easy to identify as possible. ]
[ It is, in fact, the house he bought with Hange; he feels some ways about moving in without them, but in a way, it will serve as a shared memory, too. Besides, he himself only agreed to move because Hange and Erwin wanted more space, and the latter is still here. It's just as well that they honor their shared effort. ]
I don't know you as well as Gabi told me I would in the future, but I know enough, and I know you're new in an unfamiliar world.
[ And also a literal baby, but he'll save the kid's dignity and not mention that part. ]
If you need help with food or money, or if you need a place to stay, you are welcome here. Don't be shy if you just want to visit, either.
Levi
[ Eren, Jean, Mikasa, Sasha, and Historia will have received similar messages. Reiner and Marco will probably be informed as well, if with less (relative) familiarity. ]
[ Reiner will probably not be happy about this. Oh well. ]
[ Levi considers the offer. He doesn't think he really needs help, but maybe the kid needs to feel useful. It's not like it would do any harm. ]
There's always something to clean. I could pay you some pocket money for it, if you'd like.
[ You'll probably need to do it over and over again, though. It's not as good of a deal as it sounds... then again, the brats from the 104th never even got one to begin with, they were just expected to clean, so hey, it's not that bad! ]
[ Feeling useful is definitely something that Falco needs. He’s not been sure how to make himself so here. After all, there’s no war or world ending crisis. He trains, but it’s different alone, without the other candidates, with the fact he isn’t a candidate anymore but that he had a titan form he’d never thought would be his.
He knew it could be useful but he’s still just a kid figuring out what to do in a peaceful world. ]
You wouldn’t have to pay me, sir! I’d be happy to do it.
[ On the Solstice, a package from Reiner is delivered. It contains a picture frame molded from a deep blue stone scattered with tiny white crystals, giving the effect of a night sky. Within the frame is a photograph of Gabi taken in Ellipsa. (Notably, she is several years older than the last time Falco saw her.) She's wearing roller skates and grinning widely at the camera.
There is also a note written in Reiner's neat Eldian script. ]
Falco,
Happy Solstice. I hope you like the picture. Gabi missed you while she was here. I'm sure you miss her, too. If you ever want to talk, I'm here.
[ So far, Levi's policy had been handing out the magical Safety Pins to his brats and subordinates that show up, but not Titan Shifters, Armin being a notable exception to it because Levi trusted him enough to assume a day where he needs to take him out would not come. Eren is... complicated. Levi does believe him, but he's also aware of his determination to continue on the same path if he were to be sent home. Either way, Reiner probably has him covered already. ]
[ And that leaves Falco. A sweet, good-hearted kid who's not technically one of his but has managed to find his way into Levi's heart anyway, not unlike Gabi. Hell, at this point, he's fairly fond of Annie and even Reiner, too, though he doesn't play at being their caretaker. They're not that close, even if the amount of similarities he keeps discovering with the former is somewhat amusing. Falco does actually live with him, though, and while he no doubt has the regenaration ability, he's been careful about showing anyone his Titan. ]
[ Probably for the best, but Levi does hope he's not leaving himself more vulnerable than he needs to. ]
[ And so, one day at dinner, he'll be casually sliding a Safety Pin across the table to him. Hopefully he's seen then in the shop and knows what it does already, but if not, he'll give him a quick explanation. ]
...You should wear this when you go out into the Segments.
[ He knows you've been questing, buddy. He won't tell you to stop, but he'd like some more safety measures in place, hence. ]
Let's pretend I didn't stick my head in the sand for two months about "DAMMIT I'M TOO WORD SHORT"
[ Falco's surprised when Levi slid the Safety Pin over, tilting his head. Honestly, he isn't quite sure what it does, though he's sure he's seen them before. It's not often that Levi gives him something but Falco never wants material things that often either. Even living with Levi he still stays as independent as he can to not be a burden. ]
What is it?
[ No matter what it was if Levi wants him to he will wear it. ]
[ That's unfortunate, because Levi would absolutely buy him (almost) whatever he wanted, for school or otherwise. As far as he's concerned, the boy is basically his kid now, too, especially after (mostly) living in his house for months. ]
It's got protective magic. You can activate it with a word and it'll put a shield around you.
[ He'll explain in as few words as possible how to set the codeword and stuff (which I don't actually know how it works, but the characters do!) ]

[ Falco doesn’t answer the message right away. In fact, he reads it several times over. ]
I would like to visit! Tea is nice with you. Maybe I can help you with the house it looks bigger than what you’ve had!
